What we collect
When you create an account we store your email address, username, display name, optional bio and avatar. When you use #Rolling we store the clips you upload, captions, likes, comments, follows, direct messages, clip chat messages, reports you submit and basic activity counts such as views.
Why we use it
We use this information to run the service: to sign you in, show your clips to the people allowed to see them, rank the For You and Trending feeds, deliver notifications and messages, and to review content that is reported.
Who can see your content
Clips marked Public can be seen by anyone. Clips marked Followers are only visible to accounts that follow you. Direct messages are visible only to you and the person you are messaging. Moderators can view content that has been reported so they can act on it.
Storage and security
Account data and media are stored with our hosting and database provider. Access is restricted by row-level security rules so that each account can only reach the data it is entitled to. Media files are served through short-lived signed links.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, change a clip's visibility or delete your clips at any time from Settings. Deleting a clip removes it from every feed. To delete your account and everything attached to it, contact us and we will remove it.
Third parties
We do not sell your data. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your email address and basic profile with us so we can create your account.
